Description

IC 410 - Tadpoles Nebula

The dusty emission nebula is located in the constellation of Auriga at about 12.000 light-years from Earth. The gas structures are lit by the radiation from the rather young 4 million years old open star cluster NGC1893 that lies in the center of the nebula.

The two tadpoles are, similar to the famous Pillar of Creation, composed of dust and gas leftover from the formation of the star cluster and are very likely to give birth to more stars in the future.

As I continue to image from my balcony, this is one of the targets in my roof-based sequence. This project spanned over the course of two months, getting 2-3 hours on each clear night I could make use of. This is the first target that I've enjoyed the green hue in it.

Clear skies and stay safe!
